Four Seasons opens Fourth Hotel in Thailand

Guided by the belief that every life has equal value, the Samui Estate Foundation works to reduce inequalities and improve life for the less fortunate on Samui.

This ceremony had been planned since we Khun Heng organised the REBA Course at Samui Palm Beach Resort, as he’d committed to generously donating all proceeds of the Reba Course to this school in a ceremony.

This kind of ceremony brings chance and success to all who take part and is called “Tham Boon” in Thailand, which means making merits and obviously it is highly respected to act this way in the Kingdom of Smiles. Whilst P Daow, our graphic designer/photographer was taking pictures of the whole event,
P Tui and Nong Kanit were playing games such as quiz and hide and seek with the children.

The children seemed to have a lot of fun and after a while they were also given pencils, erasers, footballs and milk. Khun Heng, our Chief Executive Officer, joined us too and managed to talk with both teachers Khun Supatra and Khun Supanee, who were thanking the company for everything they had donated.

Finally, Khun Heng added a final generous money donation, the proceeds of the REBA Course, reminding the teachers that the company would be happy to help the school again in the future if they needed it.

The Foundation will be providing more donations to Samui’s school children and the Foundation is also supporting other projects on the island. All of the Foundation’s projects and donations are purely aimed at helping the local community that needs financial support.

REBA Donation

In the afternoon on Thursday the 28th of December 06, we went to visit the local Wat Pang Bua Temple School to give the young students food and other donations. Ba Yai, our company cook had been cooking since the morning for these bright students aged between 5 – 8 years old. First, some epresentatives of the company, mainly Thai staff, gave rice, “luuk jiin” (meat balls), “khanom waan” (desserts and sweets) and ice-cream to the kids, who seemed to be really enjoying this special occasion in Wat Pang Bua School.
